Wilderness Island Safari Holidays

Wilderness Island was set up over five years ago by Jim Alston who has developed it into a unique holiday experience. His business partner Harry came on board soon after and helps Jim run the Island.

About Jim

 Jim grew up on a cattle station in the Pilbara region of WA and after travelling and working around Australia he spent some time working on luxury charter boats as a fishing/tour guide in the Kimberly. It was then that he decided to create Wilderness Island.

After thirty years in the region Jim knows the Exmouth Gulf like the back of his hand. He can share with you an intimate knowldege of its history, geography, land & marine environments, and of course the fish species, and their distribution and habits.

About Harry 

Harry grew up in the North West WA, along the coast and has been fishing since he was 6 years old.

Harry has been professionally guiding for 10 years from the Kimberley’s in the north to the Pilbara/Gascoyne on the mid west coast. 

For the past four years Harry has lived and worked on the eastern and southern reaches of the gulf, acquiring an intimate knowledge of the Exmouth region and in particular the gulf.

Harry’s life passion is pretty much anything to do with the ocean or fish and he loves passing this knowledge onto others.
